Salaire: XOF CFA6,204,642 /Per Year

Work Schedule: Full-time - 40 Hours per week.

The incumbent makes installations and repairs to new existing refrigeration and air conditioning units as directed by the Group Leader and or the Maintenance Supervisor or the FM on USG controlled properties in Niamey, Niger

Perform all journeyman HVAC related work using proper tools, materials and procedures as directed by the corresponding maintenance supervisor or the FM.  Undertakes complex repairs of Chillers, Pumps and Motors.  Read/Interpret drawings, sketches and blueprints as required for each project.                          

 Perform preventative maintenance work on all assigned equipment.                                                  

Clean shop and work areas, maintain and make repairs of tools as required. Make routine checks for fire and safety hazards and report all discrepancies to the appropriate authority.                                                       

Assist with accurate parts identification and replacement to include Supply Storage Items. Inventory supplies and assist with ordering and purchasing of tools and materials as required.                                                        

Conditions

EXPERIENCE: Three years of journeyman HVAC experience is required.  Must include Air Handling Units, Fan Coil Units, large Centralized Chilled Water Systems, Centralized distribution Systems and individual Split Units.  Refrigeration expertise to include Perishable storage, Freezers, refrigerated water distillers and dispensers

JOB KNOWLEDGE:  Advanced knowledge of chilled water systems, chiller water distribution pumping and piping systems, instrumentation systems and electronic controls, splits, and package HVAC equipment is required. Must have knowledge of electrical controls, components, and electrician service.

Education Requirements:

Completion of Secondary school is required. (BEPC)

Evaluations:

LANGUAGE:  Level 3 (Good working knowledge) Speaking/Reading/Writing French and local language (Hausa and/or Zarma) is required.  Level 1 (Limited Knowledge) Speaking/Reading/Writing English is required. English may be tested.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES Optional: Ability to make major repairs on the spot to tools and equipment.  Must know refrigeration system theory and operation and, must be creative and able to solve complex work-related problems. Must have practical and proven troubleshooting abilities. This may be tested.
